QA Checker

The product was developed under the partnership programme Microsoft Empower.

QAChecker (Quality Assurance Checker) is a test plan management application intended for storing of test descriptions which are to be checked before an application can be used by a customer. Persons responsible for application testing should use QAChecker to record the results of individual  tests and these results are then available as informative reports.

The testing of applications is usually insufficient. A lot of companies miss a separate quality assurance department and rely on the code testing by programmers. Afterwards the supplier transfers the testing to the customer what brings increased costs for the customer and decreased confidence to the application.

This application keeps the tests of all the developed applications unified. It provides means for the  management of the whole testing process and provides project managers with control mechanism  consisting of well arranged reports.

Structure:

• Test plan  – tree list of test descriptions
• Test – description of one test (e.g. document creation test)
• Test step – one step of the test (e.g.: filling in some data into a form field)

Application contains three main modules: administration, testing and reporting

• Administration module enables the user to add projects, edit all test definitions and test plan templates.
• Testing module shows the test definitions and enables recording of the achieved results while testing the application according to the test definitions.
• In the reporting part all the achieved results are displayed in charts and tables with rich filtering options.

            Application provides following reports:

• Test plans report  – provides information about the result of all the test plan executions
• Tests report – displays individual tests according to selected criteria, information about the results of every single executed test is also available
• Histogram of the test plan executions during a selected time period – provides tables and charts with statistical information about test plans that were executed during a selected time period.
• Test steps error rate report – shows error rate for test steps in a selected project or in all  projects during a selected time period.
• Detail summaries for test plans or tests and lists of test which contain errors are also available.
